Waiting for the light
A short account of how I work and where.
I photograph buildings, objects and the people who live among them. Most of my work begins with waiting: for the light to fall a certain way across a wall, for a room to empty, for a gesture to settle. I shoot medium format because it slows me down.
Fifteen years in, I still work the way I did at the start — one camera, available light, no crew. Clients come to me for stillness. I split my year between Beirut, where I grew up, and Lisbon, where the winter light is kinder.

Three kinds of commission
Most projects fall into one of these. Anything that does not, ask.
Editorial
Magazines & pressFeatures, profiles and cover work for print and digital titles. I shoot the story, not just the subject — and I deliver a sequence you can lay out, not a folder of options.
Architecture
Studios & developersInteriors and exteriors photographed across a full day so a space is seen in the light it actually gets. Careful verticals, minimal staging, no composite skies.
Still life
Brands & makersObjects shot on plaster, stone and linen with hard directional light. Built for slow catalogues and considered launches rather than fast-turnaround product grids.
Selected commissions
Four recent projects. The full archive runs deeper.
Concrete Hours
A day spent watching one stairwell change. Shot for a studio monograph on post-war civic building in Beirut.
View projectOrdinary Facade
Fifty balconies, one open shutter. A survey of housing blocks nobody photographs, made over three winter mornings.
View projectColonnade
Winter outerwear walked through a public arcade at opening hour, before the light hardened.
View projectA Room in Winter
A portrait sitting that took four hours and produced one frame. The subject asked to face the window.
